Peabody Essex museum + other historical sites

Often known for its unique and modern exhibits, the PEM's  mission is to celebrate outstanding artistic and cultural creativity. There are plenty of other museums and historical sites in Salem, like Salem Witch Museum or the town's popular ghost tours.

Breweries

We love a good brewery! Check out Notch Brewery or East Regiment Beer Co while you're in town.

quaint new england towns

Many of the surrounding towns are worth a visit. Whether that be a trip to the Marblehead lighthouse or Castle Rock Park, Manchester-by-the-sea, or Newburyport's waterfront park.

North shore Beaches

Don't knock a beach visit in the fall! The North Shore is renowned for its beaches, including Ipswich's Crane Beach, Gloucester's Good Harbor and Wingaersheek Beach, or our personal favorite, Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, about 40 mins north of Salem. Go for a walk around the quarry and take in the beautiful views of the coast.

If you're renting a car, drive down to Boston for the day to walk around Newbury Street, dine in the South End, or catch a game at TD Garden.
